Yoga Nidra - Yoga Classes in San Francisco with Nathan Maton - Parkinson
Yoga Nidra

Nathan Maton-Parkinson
Yoga Nidra founded by Swami Satyananda Saraswati is an efficient route to change your life and enter the core of relaxation. Yoga Nidra, or Sleep Union, as it can be translated, is the scientific study and process of relaxation. It is a dream-like state of mind attained through guided meditation in which you are still “awake”. It takes you beyond your normal state of dualistic thinking (likes and dislikes, good and bad), to a relaxed state where you find a new level of thought and receptivity.
Nathan Maton-Parkinson has practiced Vinyasa and Iyengar Yoga for several years. Upon discovering Yoga Nidra, Nathan soon began an intensive study with Yoga teacher, Robin Carnes. Through the teaching of Yoga Nidra, he has experienced a way to learn about oneself and to overcome the obstacles and patterns that cycle through ones’ life.
Presently, Nathan Maton-Parkinson is partaking in a Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training at the Yoga Tree, San Francisco. He apprentices with Iyengar Yoga teacher, Karl Erb, Les Levanthal, and Ginger Layden. And he invites everyone, both new and veteran yoga practitioners, to experience the benefits of Yoga Nidra. Whether you’ve come just for a relaxing hour away from work, as a way to overcome obstacles in your life, or to experience your koshas (layers) of your being, welcome to another aspect of Yoga.
